Refund Policy

A 7-day first-purchase refund window: a full refund if unused, or a refund for the remaining paid time if used. Statutory rights are protected.

1. Your first paid purchase

OfferCue includes a 3-day free trial with no payment card required, so you can try the service before buying.

If your first paid OfferCue purchase is not right for you, contact us within 7 calendar days after payment to request a refund under our voluntary first-purchase offer. This applies to the initial payment for your first subscription or your first one-time pass, including a discounted purchase.

  • If you have not used the paid service: we refund the full amount you paid.
  • If you have used the paid service: we refund the remaining portion of the paid period, calculated by time as explained below.

Use means using a paid feature after the purchase, such as AI resume editing or PDF export. Signing in, viewing an existing resume or reading our policies does not by itself count as use. Activity during your earlier free trial does not count as use of the paid service.

This first-purchase offer is available once per customer, rather than once per account or plan. Its time limit, once-per-customer condition and proportionate deduction do not restrict refunds required by law.

2. How we calculate a refund after use

For the voluntary first-purchase offer, we calculate the refund using the amount actually paid and the time remaining in the period that payment purchased:

Refund = amount paid × remaining paid time ÷ total paid period.

The paid period runs from when the access purchased by that payment starts to its scheduled expiry. We use the actual dates for your 1, 3 or 6 month purchase, rather than treating every month as 30 days. Earlier free-trial time is excluded.

Elapsed time runs from the start of that paid period until we receive your refund request. It includes days when you did not sign in, not just days on which you actively used OfferCue. We account for partial days proportionately and round the refund up to the nearest cent, capped at the amount paid. We do not deduct an additional AI usage charge or refund processing fee.

For example, if a purchase cost $30 for a period lasting exactly 30 days, and you used the service and requested a refund after exactly 3 days, the refund would be $30 × 27 ÷ 30 = $27. This is an illustration, not a plan price.

We use the time your request reaches us, not the date we review or process it, so our handling time does not reduce your refund. Please stop using paid features once you submit the request. We will explain the calculation when confirming the refund.

3. Renewals and later purchases

Purchases outside the first-purchase window, subscription renewals and later one-time purchases are normally non-refundable under our voluntary policy. We do not normally issue partial refunds for unused days simply because you stop using the service, find a job or cancel renewal. Statutory rights and billing or service problems are handled separately.

If you forgot to cancel and were charged for a renewal, contact us promptly. We will review the circumstances, but a goodwill refund is not guaranteed. Duplicate charges, payments made in error, service defects and statutory remedies are handled separately from the first-purchase offer.

A free trial or a fully discounted redemption has no payment to refund. A refund of a discounted purchase is calculated from the amount you actually paid, not the undiscounted price.

4. How to cancel renewal

Open Account menu → Billing in OfferCue and cancel your subscription in Stripe’s billing portal before the next renewal. Access normally continues until the end of the period already paid for. A one-time pass expires automatically and needs no cancellation.

Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not automatically request a refund. Deleting a resume, stopping use or asking to delete your account does not itself cancel billing. If the portal is unavailable, email hello@offercue.app and clearly request cancellation.

5. How to request a refund

Email hello@offercue.app with the subject “OfferCue refund request”. Include:

  • The email address used for your OfferCue account.
  • The payment date and, if available, a receipt or invoice reference.
  • Whether you are requesting the first-purchase refund or reporting another billing issue.

No reason is required for a refund within the first-purchase window, although feedback is welcome. Do not send your password, sign-in code, full card number or card security code. A request received within the window remains timely even if we reply later.

We aim to respond within 5 business days. Once approved, we initiate the refund to the original payment method within 14 days of approval, or sooner where required by law. Your bank or payment provider controls when the credit appears.

6. What happens after a refund

When a first-purchase refund is processed, whether full or proportionate, access provided by that payment ends. For a refunded subscription payment, we also cancel future renewals. Refunding a payment does not by itself delete your account, resumes or existing exported files.

For other refunds, such as a billing correction, or another remedy, we will explain how it affects access. Personal-data deletion requests are handled under our Privacy Policy.

7. Faults and consumer rights

If you were charged twice, cannot access a paid service, or believe the service is defective or not as described, contact us. We will investigate and provide a correction, refund or other remedy as required by applicable law. If we permanently discontinue the service during a prepaid period for reasons unrelated to your breach, we refund the unused portion.

The first-purchase offer is additional to your statutory rights. UK, EEA and other consumers may have withdrawal, cancellation, price-reduction or refund rights that apply even when this policy would otherwise exclude a refund. Where applicable, these may include a 14-day withdrawal period for an online service contract. Our 7-day voluntary offer does not shorten that period. Where the law requires a full or larger refund, we provide it even if you have used the service.

Merely using OfferCue or acknowledging our terms does not mean you waive a statutory withdrawal right. Where applicable law requires a separate express request or acknowledgement to start performance or affect withdrawal rights, these terms do not substitute for it. Contact us to exercise a statutory right; a clear statement is sufficient and no special form is required.

8. Operator and contact
